Earth

Earth opens on the Sun — close enough to see it seethe — and ends on a granite coast. Between them: a planet rearranging itself — continents gathering and breaking apart, the slow tearing away of Antarctica, and the arrival of a familiar shoreline. Somewhere in that passage, almost imperceptibly, the world stirs and fills — glimpsed rather than dwelt on, a horizon crossed in passing. Deep geological time, rendered at a scale where even life is just one more change in the land.
